A lot of people have a hard time accepting the things they believe to be the truth all their lives are actually false. Sorry to see you go.

My Prediction Regarding New Space Telescope That Will See Back to 100 Million Years From the Big Bang
by Sea Breeze ina new space telescope launched a few days age that will supposedly be able to see to within 100 million years of the big bang.
wow... only 100 million years from the big bang.
that is pretty early given the 12 billion year age of the universe assigned by scholars who adhere to naturalism.

@Sea Breeze: Let's assume your theory is correct - the creator created a Universe where the visible part alone is 94 BILLION light years large, in 24 hours. Since information cannot travel faster than the speed of light, this is called proof by contradiction that your theory cannot be correct.
Your theory was proven incorrect right about the original discovery that galaxies and stars were further away than our own solar system, which is really Renaissance-era science at this point, combined with the discoveries of the Planck, Maxwell and Einstein equations.

Tennis Controversy in Australia
by smiddy3 inapr 20, 2020. novak djokovic sparks a backlash after publicly opposing the covid-19 vaccine.
he says: âpersonally, i am opposed to vaccination, and i wouldnât want to be forced by someone to take a vaccine in order to be able to travel.â.
asked by sky news australia anchor danica de giorgio why djokovic was granted the visa in the first place, the home affairs minister said: âtheyâre entirely separate processesâ.. âto gain entry to australia you need both â you actually need the visa, which is determined quite separately, and then you have to meet the entry requirements,â she said.. âi know that people are putting the two issues together, but the visa application process and the granting of a visa is very separate to the additional entry requirements that every traveller needs to meet to be able to enter australia.â.

@joey: we have perfectly well treatments with both corticosteroids and chloroquine to suppress cytokine storms. Once the problem was identified, during the Trump administration, many hospitals started supplying those to patients with a severe reduction in death.
During the Delta variant however, the emphasis was shifted to vaccination, and CDC even went as far as banning those treatments, as a result many more people in the US died to Delta last summer in comparison with other nations, even though we had in most cases higher vaccination rates. The White House has simply been holding back a variety of treatments, including much better treatments that have 100% success rates (remdesivir (another thing Trump was mocked for), and monoclonal antibodies) because âequity issuesâ. Ron DeSantis even said he wanted to pay for them directly and the CDC blocked the company from selling monoclonal antibodies because apparently it wouldnât be guaranteed to be distributed to a sufficient ratio of black people. So theyâre literally sitting on a shelf, waiting until a black person comes along to get used before they can be given to a white or Asian person.
Compare our stats with Sweden or even South Africa, they did the Trump and Florida approach - protect the elderly, let natural immunity kick in, with less than 50% vaccination rates and only access to cheap treatments, South Africa has much higher success rates both with Delta and Omicron than the US under Biden.
Now the CDC is backtracking on vaccinations, even Fauci is saying theyâre overrated and natural immunity is better than vaccines. I even hear Brian Steltzer (NBC) say that CDC got it wrong and is becoming a laughing stock. The WHO director said a few days ago that 2 shots is pointless and 3 shots is âperhaps 50% effectiveâ against death but not against hospitalization or sickness.
Only just now is someone developing a âclassicâ vaccine (same process as say a polio vaccine) which will be available without expensive Fauci-owned patents, that has been proven to be 70% effective without any side effects they notice in control groups with the âbioengineeredâ vaccines. -

Faith-Apostasy-Atheism
by DoubtingThomas ini have been on m any different forums, and only carm is similar to this.. all the rest have rather hypocritical trust in god.. this and carm are for those who apostate to the wtbs and to god.. turned off by the gb, or hypocritical examples in the congregation, they drop worshiping god and their belief in the bible... for they know too much,.
that's why scripture isn't discussed, and jws like me, are demonized.. i am cool with that!

Intelligent conversation and your version of faith seems like an oxymoron to me.
If what you believe is true, why doesn't your deity manifest itself so we can all believe?
Your earlier comment also shows you have little understanding. Atheists don't believe, that's the whole point, we don't believe in anything like what you would consider a god, just like you don't believe in Zeus, we don't believe in Jesus or Jahweh. Once you accept that other people can choose not to believe, will you make progress.

Should a Cristian live in a convent?(bethel)

You must understand that there were different Christian faiths (actually Jewish sects) in the early centuries. So the Bible reflects different stories from Paul, Peter and others.
It seems some Christians did indeed cut themselves off from the world in order to wait for the end of the world to come (basically a doomsday cult version). They seemed to have all died off (for obvious reasons).
I don't have a problem with people choosing to cut themselves off from the world for religious reasons, there may be legitimate reasons to do this (eg. people with feelings of pedophilia or people with PTSD) and may even be beneficial (becoming deeply learned and being able to share that wisdom with the community). To say you are required to live your life like that is an entirely different thing.
The Christians living in a commune thing is highly unlikely, some people have brought that up, but the reason Ananias and Sapphira were killed in the story, is because they lied and bragged about their donating all their possession when in reality they kept some for themselves (more of an OT punishment, fitting to some Christians that still believed in the strict Deuteronomical law).
The idea of an intentional communal living situation with its own religious and legal system for a permanent system (not to wait for the 'end to come'), did not exist until it was dangerous and full enough in places like Europe for some people to want to exit 'society' into the recently discovered lands like the Americas. This was a way of both political and religious thinking through the Victorian period that culminated in Engels and Marx.

Lol, DoubtingThomas, I feel sad for you that you have an entirely made-up story in your mind about what others believe and how they should live their lives.
It seems to me you don't have much to look forward to in life except the hope that death comes soon so you can live in eternal bliss.
Atheism is how you are born, you aren't aware of anything like a deity and won't truly understand the concept until you're at least in your mid-30s or 40s. Your parents and others may teach you life lessons from a religious book, I'm all for the life lessons that ancient stories tell us, but then to take that to the extent that 'all others must believe as I do, or they are doomed' seems a sad way of then cutting yourself off from the rest of the world.

Apparently Djokovic and other lesser known tennis players have since been detained in a 'hotel' (aka prison) known for human rights abuses. Some people have been there for years without a trial and get moldy food or maggot infested dinner, and if they complain, the food is taken away.
Great place to be Australia. Sounds a lot like Germany ca 1935.

@SB: there is a big difference between science discovering more things to the WTBTS. Basically what you and the WTBTS do is have a fixed conclusion and make the data fit accordingly. What science does is collect fixed data and make the conclusion fit accordingly.
Hubble for example did collect data and was assuming the furthest things he could see were individual stars, based on that assumption, he calculated an age of the universe of 2Gy that was immediately falsified by the fact earth was already proven to be 3Gy old, so everyone knew something was wrong, they just didnât know what. Only later on with better telescopes they found Hubble wasnât looking at stars but at star clusters and that the standard candle and all the calculations they had made were wrong. If Hubbleâs original observations were correct, they wouldâve actually proven a created Universe as you describe.
In comparison, the WTBTS continues to hold that Jerusalem fell in 607BCE, despite the fact it didnât and will continue to warp evidence to fit their calculation (the argument that the Babylonians were wrong, or that the Jews were captured but it was a different Nebuchadnezzar that came back and captured some heathens living in the area).
You for example, have a fixed assumption that the universe was created static, so any evidence is fitted to that argument. But you canât or donât want to explain and leave out evidence that counteracts your argument, such as redshift.
Redshift basically indicates that light has been stretched out since it was emitted. Very simplistically: light is both a particle and a wave and gets emitted and travels at a specific frequency, there is no mechanism that inherently slows down light. In a static Universe, a Universe that was created in a single unit as it currently shows up, light doesnât shift, because it just travels along at the same frequency it was emitted. However the spectrum from far away stars has shifted (slowed down) significantly and we can see that happening equally in every direction. The only explanation is that both space and time between the stars and the observer has been stretched out while the particle/wave has been traveling.
The question is indeed for how long, in the last 100 years weâve seen several adjustments, but they have confidence ratings, Hubble made a very rough calculation based on what he thought he could see. Had we not improved the observations at that time, the theory would be that the Universe was shrinking, which it can do if we were in a collapsing Universe so you wonât see a doubling of the time anymore, youâll see minor adjustments in the lower significance digits.
So if your theory for a statically created Universe is true, you have to have matching evidence: no red shift, or an explanation for red shift (a curved Universe, but that has been disproven as well); an observable creator; no development (birth, growth, death) of stars and galaxies; a visible decrease or observable force that maintains or stabilizes entropy (that would preclude black holes since they are a visible source of entropy) Feel free to provide sources for all those observations, noting that at least one of those violates the laws of thermodynamics.

JW healthcare
by jhine ingiven that us healthcare isn't free at point of contact and people have to pay for insurance, which can be expensive and is often linked to employment how do jws get on ?
if they are encouraged to take low paid or part time jobs so l assume don't get good healthcare insurance from their jobs .
how do they cope with medical bills?

There is an upside and a downside to some of this, as in most countries, low income JW slaves get free and low cost government health care. I also know many pioneers that support themselves with unemployment and disability schemes (canât go to work but walk all day in service is not a problem).
As in most countries however, low cost government health care and disability sucks. In the US Medicare/Medicaid will at least cover most issues, but in Europe most JWs are reliant on homeopathy and it doesnât help that âDrâ A. Vogel (purveyor of quack alcoholic tinctures like echinacea) claimed to be anointed and his family and factory almost exclusively employ JWs.
JWs just eat it, as they are hoping for a life without sickness and death, they donât really care much about their health in this life, thus the real believers are a drain on society at large.
So for the true believers like pioneers, Iâm not really worried, the problem outside the US comes when people are reliant on government schemes for that long, itâs really difficult to get out of it and adapt to real life. Even at low wages, taxes in Europe are exorbitant and fixing decades of ignored health problems can be really expensive. In the US many older JWs that eventually stepped outside the rat race in the organization but are still attached, tend to be the opposite, over-medicated (depression, stress etc), obese, overspending on things that donât really matter like fancy cars and fancy houses, but they still support the poor girls that are pioneering etc to make themselves feel good about themselves.
The best thing to do in the US, get out of there, get a real job or go to school to make a decent living in a trade (once $40-50k/y income, you can pay for really nice private healthcare) and start saving for retirement. If youâre getting out when youâre already close to retirement, then hopefully youâve made some good financial decisions before, you wonât die, but you wonât leave much behind either. If youâre in Europe, then whatever strata you decided to live in at your 30s-40s is probably what youâll retire as, if youâre young, there is still hope but you really have to leave it all behind and work really hard.

@SeaBreeze: what they are expecting is formed stars and the first sets of systems. However as has been proven already, the composition of these systems will be completely different.
Not sure why that would confirm your creation bias as that is what the model predicts.
What you are suggesting is needed for a creation story is a fully static universe, this has already been disproven, you donât even need to look back that far. Your theory is actually disproven exactly BY redshift. You need to understand why redshift is happening, then you realize quickly the Universe wasnât made fully formed, as it is impossible for the heavier elements to exist today if they already existed at the time you suggest they should exist.
You are approximately 50 years of hard evidence behind the indisputable facts and approximately 120 years behind the first evidence.
